This week is a “tapering” week before Saturday’s century ride in Santa Barbara. I did an easy 45 mile ride on Saturday, and a short but strenuous hike yesterday. I’ll do about an hour of spinning tonight on the trainer, and probably hit the trainer a couple more times this week, but nothing too difficult. The goal is to maintain aerobic fitness, but not stress the muscles enough to start the rebuilding process, since that temporarily weakens them. And I’ll need everything I’ve got to complete this ride!
